This unique album offers historic and biographical notes for each of the 366 days of the year. Some 1 400 ephemerides recall highlights of Ontario’s Francophonie: birthday of 950 parliamentarians, judges, bishops, entrepreneurs, athletes, artists, writers, educators and other leaders. Some ephemerides recall important dates concerning exploration and colonization in Ontario. Others recall the foundation of 30 provincial organizations, the publication of 75 newspapers, the launch of a dozen of radio and television stations, as well as the arrival of some 18 religious orders in Ontario. Are also included the dates of 36 federal elections and 34 provincial elections where a Franco-Ontarian candidate was elected. The ephemerides also note a number of events that have shaped French Ontario, namely Regulation 17, the Concours de français, the French-language Services Act and the battle to save Montfort Hospital.
